Thought Leadership

Known for our commitment to advanced, evidence-based care, and for consistently achieving strong patient outcomes, GRS is considered a thought leader in the industry. Our practitioners and administrators are frequently recognized and sought for their expertise and advisement. Following is just a glimpse at the many ways GRS is helping to move the industry forward.

Playing Industry Leadership Roles

Dan Hirschfeld, President of Genesis Rehab Services, serves on the Board of the National Association for the Support of Long-Term Aging—and Garry Pezzano, GRS Senior Vice President of Clinical Services, is a past President of that same organization.

Serving on Government Advisory Groups

GRS senior leaders have been named to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) Medicare Spending Per Beneficiary (MSPB) Technical Expert Panel (TEP)—providing expert advisement for developing resource use measures to improve post-acute care.

Assisting with National Research Projects

Genesis Rehab Services (GRS) recently became one of five industry-leading organizations that participated in a large-scale therapy outcome measures research pilot program with the National Association for the Support of Long Term Care (NASL) and the American Health Care Association (AHCA). The group’s work was since endorsed by the National Quality Forum.

Earning Recognition for Industry Innovation

Genesis Rehab Services (GRS) recently received an Innovation Award at the Aging2.0 Global Innovation Summit for its commitment to bringing new ideas to realization—including the creation of an Innovation Center in China. In addition, GRS and our partner Respond Well recently received a joint award from Microsoft, for the creation of the GRS Virtual Trainer, a falls prevention and rehab solution powered by the Respond Well platform.
